820-02020 drawing 20v but not charging battery

The board came in not drawing 5v. Ammeter is not coming up
I detected a shot on PPVBUS_USBC0
I replaced DF622 and DF602
It’s now drawing 20v, it’s booting to password screen. But is not drawing charging current.
the amp meter restarts in 20v sometimes but now every time.

You should test with known good battery.
Is the battery at least recognized by macOS?

Here is where a tool like NLBA1 can help you to confirm if a battery is good or not.
Can even help you to recover it, depending of the internal failure.

BTW, important advice for all those who have NLBA1 in the repair shop.
When encounter strange issue with a battery, please upload screenshots.
The developer (Nicusor) told me he will try to help, if he can gather more information for a specific case.

I used another known good battery still not charging. The system is booting with charger and it’s working well with another battery only , but the battery is not charging. The amp meter is not drawing charging current.

If machine works with good battery alone, then recognizes it and there is good communication.
Post Q5265 voltages, with both charger and good battery connected; you may try changing it.

Maybe the MOSFET is good, U5200 seems to control it on battery mode.
Change it, just in case.
First, check ohm resistance over C5220/60.

Yes...the system boot to password with charger alone but the processor does not get hot and shows battery sign with out the battery flex connected

You should get X sign on battery symbol, if not connected.
Save data and do DFU restore, just in case.

we just got the password to the system. And we discovered the the system will it boot completely after the password is inputed. It will shut down and restart to password screen and after the password it will load to almost 70% progress bar and shot down again.

Done backup and it’s Not getting to dfu. Tired many times. It wount boot to home page without battery after the password page.it boot with known good battery but wount charge the battery

Is the battery percentage correctly displayed, when is connected?
Be sure pin 7 of J5151 is 0V.
If not, you can force it with S5190/91.
