A2442 820-02098 not charging

Hi.

I have an A2442 820-02098 not charging the battery. It powers on with charger, but it dosen' charge battery.

Already tried a known good battery but same result.

I have no idea where to start.

Can you help?

Hi.

Client says it stoped working. I'm not sure if the battery is recognized in system, but even with a good battery, it shuts down when disconnected from th power supply.

Right now, I can't even boot. It stays in the loading bar, even in safe mode.

Same behavior with Magsafe 3 and USBC chargers?

Force a short over R5150 pads and test again the machine.

Yes, with Magsafe 3 and USBC chargers the behavior is the same, and after shorting R5150, everything remains the same.

Same behavior. Loading bar stoped, and not charging, even in safemode

Can you load macOS with charger alone?

Check diode mode to ground at SCL/SDA lines of UD102/50 chips.

Hi.

When measuring UD102, I've notice that CD102 and RD201 were burnt, and pad 1 of CD102 is gone.

After replacing RD178, RD177 and RD201 (all a bit burnt), the behavior is the same, but I have the correct voltages on them

I don't have a donor board of the same model.

Do you know if I can use any other models to get the same UD102?

The chips from page 57 are simple level shifters, no firmware included.
Try to find a LSF0101 from other board.

820-02016 has a LSF0101DRY.

Is it compatible? Can I use this one?
