Trackpad click is not a sign of life.
Once actuator is powered, you will sense the force feedback.
But is just a hardaware response, no need the board to boot.

Check if board voltages are steady, or restarts at the moment when trackpad click is not present.

Do you have 3 identical boards, with exact the same symptoms?

If you get 20V on all USB-C ports (without battery), then no problem on USB-C areas.

Do you have 820-01814 boards?
For the future, please post board model on the title, or first post.

Did you try both revive and restore options in DFU?
Revive doesn't erase the SSD.

If you get Apple logo and progress bar, SSD is initialized at least.
This doesn't discard an internal problem; maybe some bad NAND.

Can you get access to it in Target Disk mode?

No need to press power button for this machine.
