Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

Yes, I got 0.007 in diode scale. Just injected voltage into 3V3_G3H_RTC and U5104 showed up in thermal camera.

My bad. L6960/61: 15.3 Ohms, rest is Ok. L9020/21: It reads 172 Ohm, then 2.2 KO, then 0.6 KO, back to 172 Ohms, 2.2KO, 0.6 KO...

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

I did nothing, at the beginning I was thinking it was something related to SSD's just as many people claimed on internet. I also thought U7000 had something to do about it but it was Ok. Wasn't expecting to see PP1V8_SLPS2R shorted! That's it :). So, for: L6960/61: 6 Ohms L7030: 45.2 KOhms...

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

    Yes, I did. Im getting 1.7 Ohms only on these: L7221 / L7211 / L7231 L9080: 3.5 KOhms L9580: 6.8 KOhms

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

I know! PPBUS_G3H to ground: 21 Ohms. PPBUS_G3H to CPU coils: 21 Ohms CPU coils to ground: 1.7 Ohms Would be safe to inject 1V into PPBUS_G3H?

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

Ok, I havent gotten the T2 replacement yet but I releived the short on PP1V8_SLPS2R rail, PPBUS_G3H still shorted to ground, Any suggestion? Thanks.

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

I've been reading about this issue, if the T2 chip is bad, it can be replaceable but touch ID wont work. Is that true?

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

Well, the only component that is getting hot is the Apple T2 chip when voltage is injected. Could this be the issue? Thank you.

Got it! Yes, I've got 0.003 without charger connected / in resitance mode: 6.1 ohms So just to confirm, should I inject voltage to the 1V8_SLPS2R rail? Thank you!

L7813 With charger: 0.0v Diode mode to ground: .003V ----------------- R7813 0 Ohm. You think reflowing the chip could be an option before replacing it? Thank you.

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

No, Im not getting 1.8V on that line. I was also checking voltages that U7800 outputs and nothing. May U7800 be bad? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

I thought maybe a component was causing a short to ground on 1V8_SLPS2R rail? sorry, I'm still learning. I've been checking other points of the same trail and the line seems to be broken, any ideas where I can run a wire? Gracias!

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

Ah, sorry for the newbie mistake. Would be OK if I inject 1V to the 1V8_SLPS2R rail to find the short?

Thank you 2informaticos! Happy to be here! Well, on "PPBUS_G3H to ground", I'm getting 0 Ohms with charger and 16.5 Ohms with battery connected. In diode mode 0.173 with charger and 0.008 with battery. U4802 signals - Lid closed. Pin 1 - 0.001v Pin 2 - 0.0v Pin 4 - 0.005v Pin 6 - 0.0v...

Macbook Pro A2141 820-01700-05 Wont turn on.

Hi guys, I got a 820-01700-05 logic board that won’t turn on after wake up from sleep with no signs of burned components or water spills. It is stuck at 5v and PPBUS seems to be shorted to ground. PPBUS_G3H - 0.1V In resistance mode: PPBUS_G3H to ground: 17.7 Ohms PPBUS_G3H to CPU coils...
