    Yes, we have used 3 known working trackpads and 3 known working cables. There is no corrosion to any of the trackpad circuitry. I will use the FLIR to see if there are any thermal signs. We are asking here because we have tried all the obvious steps.

    only shuts down with the trackpad connected, (powers off mid way through boot) there was liquid on q6060, but thats about it.

    Ok, what I don't understand is how BKLT_EN can be there, but still no backlight. All other functions are working fine. Sleep then wake and we have backlight. Restart we have no backlight until sleep / wake.... There must be a way t work around this.

    As in the title. There is no backlight at power on. Once the MacBook has gone to sleep and is woken, the screen backlight works again. I don't want to remove the board as I think Apple should deal with this one. However, I'm not sure about the consumer law in the country of original...
