    820-02917 A2991 5V .15A

Same symptoms with charged battery and trackpad connected: does not complete DFU Revive with error "Gave up waiting for device to transition from DFU state to DFU state 0xFCA (4042). I noticed that when the board enters DFU mode, the voltages in my first post that bounce around settle down and...

Well I think the battery is dead. I ordered one. Anything else I can look at/try while I'm waiting on a battery?

    820-02917 A2991 5V .15A

After further research I should have had a charged battery and trackpad connected. I did not. Will try again tomorrow and post result.

Yes. This is with logic board out, disconnected from everything else. Before logic board was pulled, USB-C voltmeter only cycled.

    820-02917 A2991 5V .15A

To be specific, inline voltmeter shows 5V and pulses between .13A and .18A. Using schematic/boardview for 820-02935. Only need data. Was run over by a skid steer. Most visible damage is to display assembly. Top case is not bent. Logic board is not bent. No visible damage to logic board...

A2681 820-02536 liquid damage boot loop

No luck with DFU blaster. Can enter DFU mode but logic board just clicks and voltmeter stays at 5v when I try the "restart to recover" option. I see in my original post that I forgot to mention that there was corrosion around UC830, UC840, and UC850. The contacts still looked bad enough after...

A2681 820-02536 liquid damage boot loop

I do not currently have a Mac available that supports Sonoma--which apparently is required for DFU blaster. I will have one at the beginning of next week. Can you think of anything else I can look at in the mean time?

A2681 820-02536 liquid damage boot loop

No. On this M2 Mac, target mode is accessible from Startup Options, which is accessed by holding down the power button from a powered-off condition. When I hold down the power button, I get the message "Loading Startup Options", but it never reaches Startup Options before powering off and...

A2681 820-02536 liquid damage boot loop

Most of corrosion was present around USB-C controllers and charge controllers (U500, UF400, UF500, UF000, UF100), and capacitor block near UF900, UF930, and UF960. Only found a couple legs/pads corroded enough to cause a possible connection problem (UF960, UF900). Was able to clean them up and...

    820-3115 Won't power OFF

Had water spill and would not power on. Most corrosion was right around SMC IC U4900. After cleanup powers on automatically when battery attached, or without battery attached powers on when adapter connected to DC jack. This is with or without keyboard connected. When on, system boots and...

    820-00426-A A1398 15" Retina no backlight

Same symptoms with exact model donor display. Have been troubleshooting the backlight circuitry for days and even replaced the driver IC a couple times. All voltages look good but no 12v to 40v boost. I DO get a backlight and video output with a donor 13" A1502 screen attached. Obviously all...
