I hope it's ok to ask this here but got in my first thunderbolt monitor A1407 It charges a laptop just fine but nothing comes on the screen. I went to the screen with a high powered light and no picture either. I tried a seperate thunderbolt cable to the port on the back and still nothing. Also...

I see a lot of people grabbing parts off donor boards, are these something that's just collected over years or where can a person purchase some? Just by old laptops or can one just get boards someplace? I see aliexpress but anyplace else?

Got a bit of a odd one. A1466 Press power and I hear the chime and the screen change shades of black. (with room light off it's the backlight) I shine a light through the back and nothing on screen no logo or anything. OK I shut it down and hooked an external monitor to it then started up again...
