The pulsing inductors measured above continue pulsing when I ground the SMC_ONOFF. However, the pulsing frequency approximately doubles while SMC_ONOFF is grounded, and afterwards when I disconnect the SMC_ONOFF, it goes back to its previous frequency.

I am not sure what you mean by "trigger SMC_ONOFF_L". The SMC_ONOFF_L is at 3.48V the whole time the MagSafe is plugged in.

No change with SMC bypass. Still does not turn on. Battery does not charge

Tracked down the short to C4690. Replaced cap and no more evaporating alcohol / current draw. However, there is still no fan spin. PP5V_S3 still pulses up and down.

Removed the coil. Diode readings: Pad 1 - 0.001V Pad 2 - 0.483V Removed caps 7252 and 7250. Both 0.001V diode readings.

Not sure what you mean by left the coil one side. edit: do you mean desolder one side?

Thanks! I am using the original charger that came with the laptop (its a new one that apple replaced cause my old one frayed). The battery was replaced at the same time as the motherboard so it is relatively new; also I don't have that many cycles on it (maybe 100?) It does not charge at all...
