Does anybody happen to have one of these laying around & can test some components for me. I have one ripped pad on a resistor & a popped cap. Popped cap is on 1st image on left.
This one had liquid but board looks clean no corrosion. There is PP3v42 and KBD_ONOFF_L goes low with power button. This is a 2015 so no ASD. Is there measurements or test you would like me to run/take that would help you understand what could be the problem. The machine seems to function fine...
Yup, there is a pulse but voltage was not getting through U8300. Replaced and cleaned corroded pads and all is good with test LCD. Original LCD has a short on PP5VR3V3_SW_LCD. Do you think short could be in the display cable or is LCD shot?
Hello Duke,
No LCD_PSR_EN so 0 Volts on L8300. I did test with a known good working LCD. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't 820-4924 a 2015 board. I have a known good LCD for 2013-2014 I can try if I am incorrect.
Thanks

I have cleaned, replaced U8330 and tested with a working display. All components in the area measure correct but I am not getting LCD_PSR_EN.
