[SOLVED]820-00165 No Trackpad or Keyboard after Backlight repair
I have an 820-00165 that came in fully functional except for backlight. Trackpad & keyboard definitely worked. I found corrosion all around U7701, which was badly damaged at Pin 5 (PPVOUT_SW_LCDBKLT_FB). I replaced the driver which fixed the backlight, but now the trackpad/kb are completely...- AaronH

820-3435 Orange light, no power after attempted backlight repair
My customer came in with his 11" Air soaked in milk. After drying it would power on with no backlight. Under the microscope, there was heavy damage and corrosion around U7701. I started with a reflow but the chip was not behaving as expected on the BGA, so I removed it for inspection. Sure...- AaronH
