    **Update** its not a software issue.. it restarts with shutdown command from any OS... cannot find any issues other than the restart upon shutdown... it boots, posts and runs fine... charges and everything... I cannot find any non functioning components... yet it still restarts on shutdown...

    all tests passed in Apple Diagnostics... I feel this must be a software issue... only reason I suspect something else... is it definitely was water damaged

    Sorry let me clarify that... it powers on and off with power button (does not restart) ... but if I shut down thru OS it shuts down then powers right back on

    The board powers on and off with SMC_ONOFF_L with the keyboard and trackpad disconnected... thanks so much!!!

    Customers device had liquid damage... no wifi developed into no power... cleaned visible damage and sent thru ultrasonic cleaner Laptop now powers on wifi works charges battery etc... Im having trouble locating any malfunctions... however When I choose shutdown the macbook just restarts...
