So what are the two small points above the pads that I marked 3 and 4 in image A?
Cause I don't have another panel to try. If I got the board working then I would've spent the money on another panel but if I can't get the board working then I'm not spending 300-400 on a good panel.
When I...
Okay, so I wanna clear something up... you asked previously "When you start the board with internal LCD connected, check for voltage at R8320 pads."
Boardview shows R8320 as a 4 pin pad as I took a screenshot of, but when I look at the board it looks like pins 1 and 2 are a bridged pad to 3...
BKLT_EN_R at R7742 is 100.7
BKLT_EN_R at C7742 is 100.7
BKLT_EN_R at Pin 17 on u7700 is 100.7
I no longer have the good board, so I was not able to compare, should there be a component at C7742? Cause it is just an empty pad? I attached best pic I could get. I thought R was for resistor and C...
That was voltage at d7710. Power was connected. :(
I thought you wanted it to be powered on since we just checked voltage on r8320 with power on. Sorry.
Pin2 was .005 volts and pin1 was .023 volts. NOT diode mode. That's why I was assuming it was bad since not that many volts were showing on...
Voltage is stable on pad 1. Voltage starts stable on pad 2 then fluctuates for a 2-3 seconds then becomes stable again and stays at 5v. Happens exact same way every boot.
LCD is too cracked to see any image. Even when good board is in the only thing I can see is just 2-3 cracks of light can't...
Nope, I was an idiot and did not connect both cables to the RIO board. Now USB and HDMI work as well.
Still no internal display. Put in the good board and I can see the cracked lcd display. Put in the bad board and no display at all.
What next? Backlight display?
Okay another update.
External Video is only working via the DisplayPort. Also, tested the IO board for the USB and HDMI and no signal coming from the HDMI port and no USB activity either.
Going to try and figure it out while waiting for your feedback
Well... I went piece by piece through the board through the scope and found corrosion also on one other little piece and apparently a very important one as after I scraped the corrosion off and checked for continuity external video has been restored with a question mark folder showing :D
I...
