Here are the values:
Voltage at L7510/20=0V
No fluctuations, it is stable 0V even after more than 15s
Voltages from pages 71/72 are ok
PLT_RESET_L=0V
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SCL=3.49V, on the scope I see a short pulse of square waves every second (0.53V in diode mode)
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA=3.49V stable...
Hello,
This board was water damaged.
- green light ok, fan spins (after a while fan spins high even with trackpad connected)
- no chime, no display, no USB activity with a mouse
PPBUS_G3H=12.3V
SMC_RESET_L=3.44V
SMC_PM_G2_EN=3.48V
PM_SLP_S5_L=3.31V
PM_SLP_S4_L=3.31V

An update on this: installing Catalina updated the Boot ROM version from MBP91.00D7.B00 to 233.0.0.0.0 (with battery), and now I can remove the battery and the board works normally. In case in helps someone
I tried your solution just to be sure, and... it worked!
I don't understand. I am now in front of another good working 820-3330, same conditions without battery, and Activity monitor shows system use 1%!
Why?
Hello,
I have this board which had originally a short on PP3V42_G3H. I injected 3.4V on L6995, put alcohol everywhere and found an issue with U6400. For the moment I only removed L6400, I don't have a spare to replace U6400 yet.
Now the board boots, internal display is ok, but very very slow to...
After solving this display/corrosion issue, the ASD OS test fully passed. Hard to believe given the initial state of the board... Thank you again! You can mark this one as Solved :)
I don't have another VGA thunderbolt adapter, but I tested it good on another Macbook; with HDMI thunderbolt adapter no image either and the display does not even appear in hardware/displays (also tested good on another Macbook). More idea?
Also, how to troubleshot the errors linked with wake...
PRAM reset solved the sound issue, boot is ok, internal display ok.
Nevertheless I have no image on an external display.
I ran ASD EFI test with no errors;
I ran ASD OS test with 3 errors linked with wake tests, see attached.
After connecting the external display I see it in Hardware/display...
Ok, so here they are:
PPVRTC_G3H=3.32V
and
RTC_RESET_L=3.31V
PCH_SRTCRST_L=3.31V
PCH_INTRUDER_L=2.98V
PCH_INTVRMEN_L=1.05V
Then I noticed that R1800 and R1915 were missing... don't ask why
After placing R1800: PCH_INTVRMEN_L=3.2V
After placing R1915: FAN SPINS!! No chime though, I will look...
Here are the values:
PPBUS_G3H=12.61V
PP3V3_SUS=0V (PM_SUS_EN=0V)
SMC_BATLOW_L=3.28V, and PM_SLP_SUS_L=0V
PCH RTC signals:
SYSCLK_CLK32K_RTC: square wave, 1V, around 33kHz
SYSCLK_CLK25M_SB: some spikes
SYSCLK_CLK25M_ENET: idem
SYSCLK_CLK25M_T29: idem
Hello,
I have this board which was water damaged, I restored pp3v3_s5 which was 0V because of a shorted capacitor. Green light is ok, but no fan.
pp3v3_s5=3.3V
pp5v_s3=0V
SMC_RESET_L=3.45V
pm_slp_s3_L=0V
pm_slp_s4_L=0V
pm_slp_s5_L=0V
smc_pm_G2_EN=3.49V
So I understand the board is in deep...
LPC_RESET_L : 3.3V
PCIE_RESET_L : 0V (without LCD connected. I have 3.33V on the good board in same conditions)
MCP_PS_PWRGD : 3.32V
PM_SYSRST_DEBOUNCE_L: 3.31V
Activity at MOSI/MISO/CLK pins: nothing; but I have nothing on the good board either. I checked on a A1278 board, and there I could...
