no obvious corrosion. I see a very little bit at these 3 resistors
R7731 12.5v on pin 1 nothing on pin 2.. no voltage on either side of R7732..

I had the original LCD and had a an image but no backlight. Now, With the board out of the case but plugged into the LCD I cant even see an image..

I tried this first with the board out and no LCD connected.. I assume this is the wrong way to test circuits so I connected the LCD panel.

I ran ASD via the internet version. Couldn't find the correct files to make the USB drive ASD EFI.
Assuming that pin 1 has the little dent on the top of the IC, yes pin one is to ground.

I replaced Q5300 and both resistors.. of course I have a new VP0R error now.. Very weird, frustrating... all of the above :)
