Is there actually supposed to be a U5540 on the production boards for this model? In the schematic I don't see NO STUFF but I don't have U5540 and R5440 on the board. I don't have another board to compare right now. I do have some donor boards on the way, but they take a long time to arrive.

I have 0v on Q7707 at pin 3. I removed Q7707 and now I have 5.65v at pin 3. Looking for a replacement in my donor pile. Does anyone know the correct orientation of the Q7707 chip? It has a "D" on it but no marking for pin 1. Mine blew away as I was removing it.

Plugged in USB mouse and there is no light on either port

OK thanks. I will check out the mouse tomorrow. It starts up right away when the adapter and stays on until the power is unplugged. It doesn't turn on/off three times, it just turns on and the fan spins high RPM. Will get back with more info when I plug mouse into the USB port.

PP3V42 measured at pin 1 of R5140 is 28.1 at 200K on multimeter. What is the reading normally supposed to be? I don't have another of the same type compare. thanks
