    820-00875 Dead

Ok, good to know. Not really up to speed on repairability of these "new" types. Thanks for your help guys, this is a no-fix.

    820-00875 Dead

Just tested and both PP1V8_S5G and PPVCCPCH_S5G cause the CPU to heat when voltage is injected. I also noticed U7800 (PMIC) getting warm. Would it be wise to try change this, or should I assume it's the CPU at this point. This would be 3 in a row for me (2 A1534's though, these don't count :))

    820-00875 Dead

    - No liquid damage - Fixed short on PP3V3S5 FET. - PPVIN = 20v - Several short (?0.1 ohm) on U7800 (PMIC) rails ** PP1V8_S5G ** PPVCCPCH_S5G ** PP1V_S5G_REG Lifted coils for the last 2 and both have the short on the load side a.k.a. CPU/PCH. Of course, the CPU could be shorted. Would it also...

Yes, tell me about it. Anyway, thanks for your help!

Ok, tried that but no activity, so I guess CPU? If so, I'm gonna call fail on this one...

Do you mean reflow the CPU? Because I already heated the area with flux (see above).

    * Nope didn't know people share them on here, I'll have a look later * SMC was replaced by a 820-3437-A while this is a -B board. These are interchangeable right?

    820-3437 Fanspin, no post

Top to bottom: * No, it stays on at the second attempt (points to BIOS issue?) * Checked, all fine. * I've just tested with a BIOS from the ghostlyhaks repo, without changing ME-region. No difference. * PLT_RESET_L steady high * SMC was replaced earlier, made no difference * CPU heated with...

    820-3437 Fanspin, no post

Received this one pre-cleaned by another company and it actually worked when I got it. After doing some touch up work, returned it to the customer. It didn't work when the customer tested it and now that I've got it back, is doesn't work either. The fan spins, but I get no chime... All voltages...

    820-3332 Crash unigine Heaven bench

Tried that, and seems to work fine on iGPU. Although gfxcardstatus still has some trouble switching cards sometimes. I'm giving up on this one, it's either going to be GPU or memory I think. Thanks anyway!

    820-3332 Crash unigine Heaven bench

Thanks! Both ASD's don't work. (tested without SSD) Google tells me more people have experienced this issue after a firmware update. gfxcardstatus won't let me change to integrated and stays on dedicated, no matter how many times I click. Sounds like a mux problem to me. I'll try if replacing...

    820-3332 Crash unigine Heaven bench

Fixed U8900 on this one. Ran Heaven to test, but this crashes and OSx returns to lockscreen shortly after. The fans run high after a while (without running Heaven), with low temperatures in iStats. ASD doesn't work, not sure why: 1) EFI version claims I'm using the wrong version (3S150) 2)...

    820-3662 Random shutdown part 9999

So I've been reading about the shutdown problems of the 2013-2014 models. 3 possible solutions are suggested by the internet: 1) Removing the kext responsible for ethernet over thunderbolt 2) Using the nocrashmbp utility made by RealMacMods 3) Replacing the VCORE driver FDMF6808 for a 6708...

Nope, non of the USB ports work. This was tested without anything connected. PLT_RESET_L = 3.3v.

Yes, all of them are present.

All voltages present, clock chip replaced, no light on USB mouse. Even tried different BIOS, but nothing changed. No liquid damage, it just stopped working. Dead CPU the only possibility?

According to the customer, he closed the MacBook one night and it would not boot anymore the next day. No mention of previous problems.

Sorry, forgot to mention this. Tried the following yesterday: * Donor BIOS from 2013 board * Reprogrammed the original with new 2014 bios. Both produced no difference.
