Ok so I removed F7140 and the short is on the system side (pin 2). However, when I measured voltage with on pin 1 with the fuse removed, i got -.18v -- is this because the SMC can't see PPBUS_G3H?
Liquid damaged 820-00045, looks nasty especially around ISL95530 BGA chip. I'm using an original charger with it. The issue is PPDCIN_G3H is only 5v not 14.5v so it's not generating PPBUS_G3H properly I believe. However, it looks like U4780 is the chip that tells the charger to step the voltage...
Yea I ended up using rEFIT to flash the SMC firmware I got from here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201518

Works fine now.
I replaced the SMC on an 820-3437 and the board works fine, however it won't boot into the customer's OS. I verified that their drive does boot on another machine. I suspect the issue is that the SMC firmware on the SMC I put on is too new for her OS (Mountain Lion) or maybe vise-versa...
