This is driving me crazy!, I disconnected the battery to see if it had something to do it turned on fine, but a few minutes and it restarted and froze loading the user again. This morning I connected the usb c to one of the ports, it went from 5v to 19.4v but 0 A. I changed to another port and...
Sorry, the thing is the computer is now working, I replaced C7609 and is turning on now, it worked fine for 2 days, I turned on today and it is doing a weird thing:
when I connect the usb c charger, it goes directly to 19.6v, the amperage shows the following consumption aproximately: it starts...
I removed L7410, the short is gone on PPBUS_G3H.
Measured ohms on L7410
PIN 1 = 420
PIN 2 = 1.6
diode mode on:
F7000 PIN 2 = .165
L7410 PIN 1 = .002
L7410 PIN 2 = .165
This means dead CPU right?
Hi again, I got this motherboard, it had corrosion on R7109, cleaned the pads and changed the resistor.
Still getting short on L7410, 7420 and 7430
Diode Mode on those coils are:
L7410/7420/7430 = 0.02
Edit
I found out that PPBUS_G3H_CPU was shorted too what lead me to PPBUS_G3H. Removed F7000...
Diode mode L7600 = .423
I changed C7609 and now when I connect the charger, it starts at 5v and then jumps to 19.63v but still no sign of it trying to turn on as I get 0 Amp of consumption.
** I used a 0.1 uf 16v, instead of the 0.1uf 25v, because I couldn´t find any exact match on the donor...
Hi, I have this computer which was working fine after I replaced a blown component R7609, it worked fine for a few days (I left it on and working for around 4 days), but when I left it off for 2 days and it doesn´t turn on again. When I connect the charger to a USB C with the USB C tester it...
Removed F7040 and PPBUS_G3H was 12.34v and going slowly up. It took around 5 minutes to get to 12.56v the strange this is that it is still going up slowly... it got to 12.61v and going slowly up... I disconnected the magsafe...
I don´t have the medusa, but have a programmer. Where do I get the BIOS?
I reinstalled the U9600, now I get a quarter fan spin, and when the spin is about to start spinning PPBUS_G3H goes from 12.60v to 12.30v, does this means it has something to do with the SMC?
I tried SMC bypass, no luck, still getting quarter spin, no orange light when the battery is connected... I reballed the SMC, nothing... doing the same... what else to check? Thank you!
Hi, I have this 820-2915 and I have green light, the fan spins, but in this model the fan normally starts for a couple seconds then stops, and start again. It spins but doesn´t stops to make the POST.
PPBUS_G3H = 12.6V
ALL_SYS_PWRGD = 3.3V
PLT_RST_L = 3.3V
I REMOVED U9600 SEEMED TO HAVE...
Hi on this board I have quarter fan spin, checked already
R7021/22 - right values at 10 ohm
R7051 - 2.5 ohms
r7052 - 0.2 ohms
PPBUS_G3H is 12.63v but goes low to 12.0v and when it goes up again, the fan tries to start... any ideas?
is there a way of protecting the cpu/pch when testing with the PSU? I´ve had now 2 of the same year and model which ended being PCH. It´s frustrating, because it was off, but I don´t know if maybe something I did kill it... Thanks for your comments...
