C3710-17 are fine
desoldered U3710/11 to see underneath, they look fine and traces where ok. put them back... still nothing... by pressing ALT I get to the boot option, but get no SSD there... I can boot from external drive but can´t see any internal hard drive...
I am using 2 samsung SSD...
THIS BOARD DOESNT SHOW THE SSD, SO FAR I HAVE:
PP3V3_S0SW_SSD_FLT = 3.3
SSD_RESET_CONN_L = 3.3
SSD_CLKREQ_CONN_L = 3.3
SSD_PCIE_SEL_L = 0V (WHEN SSD PRESENT) 3.3 WHEN SSD REMOVED
SSD_DEVSLP = 0V
SSD_PWR_EN = 3.3
PCIE_CLK100M_SSD_N = 0V
PCIE_CLK100M_SSD_P = 0V
TRIED A DIFFERENT SSD, SAME RESULT...
When R1962 is in place I get .10A and goes back to standby
in smc bypass mode I get to .14A and goes back to standby
with R1962 in place PLT_RESET_L pulses to .130v in smc bypass mode
Diode Mode on PIN 2 R1962 =.723
In SMC bypass mode the board tries to run getting to .290A and then drop back to .01 A
PLT_RESET_L pulses to .008v
VCCST_PWRGD small pulse up to .530v
so I narrowed down to
PM_PCH_SYS_PWROK, when R1962 is removed, the computer tries to turn on, it even goes up to .380A... I replaced U1950 just in case, but stll the same...
smc bypass tries tu turn on the machine, but cant make it...
when R1962 is removed, all the voltages are OK but PLT_RESET_L
I gave the computer working to the customer, it returned because it doesn´t turn on anymore... and have problems with PM_SLP_S5_L which I need to have also I don´t get PP1V05_S0
ALL_SYS_PWRGD is pulsing too... I followed the trace to U7600, PP1v05_s0 is not being created, it pulses and then goes to 0v...changed U7600 and Q7630, no change...
History... this came in because keyboard and trackpad weren´t working... it went out as a no fixable because it was the PCH, now...
When I connect this board, it tries to go on and gets back to stand by, when that happens PM_SLP_S5_L pulses. So I can´t get PP3v3_s4 because of that. Call for a dead cpu?
Hi, I have this board and a weird problem... when I use mu PSU it turns on, I get a green light on the magsafe cable and everything seems to be ok. When I connected it to the original magsafe 85w it damaged U7100 and high and low mosfets, all where shorted to ground, what can be causing this...
PLT_RESET_L is present and stable. I´ve already tried a known good bios from the forum... speaker connected and not getting any sound from it either..l
No liquid damage, the board is turning on but not posting, SPI termination resistors are good... pch clock is good, what else to check?
all voltages present, when I remove the SSD PSU gets to .44 A green and orange light on the charger... cpu gets warm...
This board turns on but doesnt do chime or show image... edp_panel_pwr doesn´t come high when display is connected... cpu gets warm and so does the memory chips... is it a dead cpu yet?
Hi, I got this board, it was working fine, I just cleaned it with isopropilic alcohol and now it doesn´t turn on. I get .56A at my PSU but no chime, image or POST. I have all the voltages present even PPVCC_S0_CPU but I get nothing... should I reprogram the BIOS? This is so weird, it was working...
Hi, no red light on the audio jack, the volume bar works, the output says: "internal speakers" but I get no audio out from the speakers.
I connected some headphones in the jack and the output is still in "internal speakers" and doesn´t change to headphones like it usually does...
So this board turned on fine, but I am having a trouble with the Audio, the icon is there, I can adjust the volume up and down, but I can´t get any sound come out of the speakers... no even using headphones... I´ve checked U6200/01 so far and everything seems to be ok... what can cause that?
