    820-01958 Need parts.

Ok, that's what I was wondering about with DFU and trackpad. However, because the damage to the components looks to be caused by someone who attempted to repair the board, I'm going to keep trying to get it working. The components are not missing, but a few that I named have chips or cracks in...

    820-01958 Need parts.

The reason I am hopeful for this board is that it seems to have activity. Not sure if that activity is coming from the T2 and it's bridge OS or if it is a sign of something more, but it gets trackpad click and I can see the machine in configurator. Was even able to successfully revive it...

Yes, I tested just the board on the desk. I will have to check the CPU core voltage again, but it was not going to 0.6v after a minute. It seemed to be staying at 1.08v.

    820-01958 Need parts.

Hi! I need some parts for a 820-01958 and don't really want to buy a dead boat just to harvest the parts I need. I can't seem to find the parts on Mouser or Digikey, but maybe the replacement just will not look the same. I need these parts ... L7210, L7220, L7230, L7400, U7210, U7220, U7230. I...

Thanks for the reply! The reason I was wondering if it’s the embedded GPUis because I found a video where the same MacBook has pretty much the same symptoms and the guy tests using an oscilloscope and shows that the board can’t complete the start up process and gets stuck similar to this board...

I'm thinking GPU is cooked on this board. Is that what you are saying also or can it be something else?

Hi! ok, so Voltage on L7210 after 15s is 1.078 on pin 2 and 1.08.2 on pin 1. After plugging in a USB drive the light goes on and off a few times then stays on, just like when plugged into a working computer.

Hi! Thanks for the reply. Sorry, yes it’s a 820-00239-A board. Not sure how to check for USB activity. When I plug a mouse in the beam lights up in the bottom, but what other ways might I check? I will post L7210 voltage after 15s. Tomorrow evening. Thanks again!

    2016 A1706 Brain Dead.

Hi everyone! First post here. I am hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm having with a 2016 A1706. I bought this computer from a guy who turned it on one morning and said he heard a little pop, then a little puff of smoke and a burning smell came out of it and it stopped working. I opened...
