yea i know that drill method too, but the thing is that, you don't even know where the short spot is , so no way to drill. the short is inside the PCB layers. it looks perfectly fine physically, no like those with burnt black spots..

make sure plug in the battery,otherwise it won't boot into OS. some 84 board replaced with 005 would work fine, some needs the bios to be re-flashed

thanks Duke that's great path to go. checked the schematics ,page "PCH SMBus "0" Connections" so many stuffs connecting to it, let me check diode mode first tomorrow and inject power if it's shorted.

having a 820-3115 board. all power rails present but can't post video, always one beep and goes a loop. PP0V75_S0_MEM_VTT_A=0.75v pp1v5s3 ddr =1.5v cpu vcore 1.1 around having no clue than a dead cpu or PCH, any thoughts please? thanks

same story here, got scammed last month selling a 820-2915 board. that's almost 500 buyer received and claimed it's not in good condition( all crap) . the worst thing is that, he didn't open the case on ebay. he disputed charge back directly on his credit card, which means....fuck.... paypal...
