aprendiz 0 v Should that be present always? What causes that circuit to die? There was no water damage, r7510 measures correctly.

Changed out a non water damaged U7400 ona 3115causing 1/4 fan spin. Fan now spins at full speed (at least its a step in the right direction). Problem is that it runs at full speed, and I now have no backlight/display. no obvious damage to the board, all looks well around LED driver. Is the...

[SOLVED]3476 new battery kills green light

Just had a retina going fine. Determined it needed a new battery. Put one in, and the mag safe light goes off. I suspect it's blown the mag safe? I changed MagSafes, ran the board sans battery, works fine. Plugged in battery, plugged in MagSafe, light was green for a moment, then dead. (Board...

    A1425 TWOP--124 and wifi

Does anyone know what this error means? Is it a sensor? And if so, what does it even look like? When I think of a sensor, I think of something that doesn't look like the others. Where would it even be? fans don't run fast btw. Unknown history, my customer, got from his customer who attempted to...

Definitely known good LCD. do you know what known good LED BKLT voltage drop should be on diode mode? If it's high what does that mean? Too high resistance somewhere correct?

    820-3476 intermittent LCD issues

yes, yes, 0V at L8300... Tried working up the circuit. Led me to U8300, where its getting VCC but no outputs. Replaced... Nothing yet. Checked for short, .401 voltage drop.

    820-3476 intermittent LCD issues

My bad. Minor liquid damage, seemed to be concentrated around the battery connector, and the keyboard backlight connector. The components near the kb bl connector were fried, so I replaced them and it seemed to work. I put the board aside to begin on another, came back and it didn't work...

dukefawks, thanks for removing the original post. It was indeed the cable for the screen. My first hint should've been the semi-melted wifi/camera/lvds cable, plastic cover. I am getting voltage on those two pins, wouldn't that indicate continuity? Any idea what could cause the higher voltage...
