Don't think this is a board issue. Have a 2015 1502 with no physical damage. 1tb ssd. Boots to log in, then turns off after password is entered. This is my wife's computer and it for sure has not been damaged. Tried to restore, won't allow, tried to reinstall OS X, won't allow and says...
Had a 3024 come through. History of liquid damage near DCIN Connector. Also shorted U7720. Board was "dead" though running... No fan. Restored P1V8_S0 Got fan to spin, and computer to start up. Only problem now is that the light on the charger stays green despite a dead battery, and still shows...
larossmann You'll have to bear with me, but would it be because of where it originates (pp5v_s0)? and i dont have a good S0 pulse?PP5V_S0 Pulses from zero to between 1.5-3.3v every seven seconds. (It is the same as when each fan turns (though they never turn at the same time, or duration).
larossmann C7620 was shorted. Restored PPBUS_G3H Now quarter fan spin. No vcore. Checked around on vcore found bad R1360, switched it out for a good one. Same. Ideas? Vcore has a ton of componentry. In diode mode, vcore is 0.000 (shorted)
1. I suspect an after market charger.
2. present
3. 3.1v
4 4.1ohms and 21.2
5 .4 ohms
6. 3.3v
7. Board is out of the machine
There is no corrosion or anything that would suggest liquid damage. Pretty safe bet that the MagSafe is in fact MagShit.
Have a 3332 that gives a green light, then switches over to a faint orange light. No fan. PPBUS_G3H is reading at .7v at multiple points on the board. U7000 is new, all components around it check out fine. 20.25v off the io board. no blown fuses (of course). chrgr_dcin at u7000 is 20.25 pin 3...
In trying to run ASD, this 2850 gives an error code. It says apple.com/support -3403D and has a picture of the globe with a caution triangle in the middle. Any idea?
Since I am at a loss with the 2936 not having backlight, I am wondering if the customer who replaced the screen, bought the wrong one. This is a 2011 2936, is there a difference between the 3115 screen? How about iterations of the same device (2011 v 2012 etc...). Also, do 3115 connectors work...
Uggh any suggestion what I should tell her since it actually displayed and lit up when she gave it to me, now it doesnt even do that? I really hope I can find the cause to at least get it to display and send it back nfnf in the same condition it came to me.
No Bklt 2936. No history or evidence of damage or corrosion
BKL_EN-3.1v
BKL_PWM-3.1V
SMC_LID-3.47V
PPV5_S0-5V
PPVOUT_SW_LCDBKLT-12.5V
PP3V3_S0-3.3
Any idea what could cause boost circuit to be 12.5?
PPVCORE_S0_CPU=1.07V
Finally got a little more info from customer. She said when it goes to sleep over night, in the morning, she opens it and it resets the whole system...
