have a 3115 with a burn hole under what was f9700. Restored 3v42 to fuse. Burn hole however is puffing smoke when I plug it in and no fan. I've had bad luck with burn holes. Any suggestions? Or junk?

It's hard to say liquid damage. But I did mean corrosion on those two when I said "blow". It would be weird because there is no other evidence of liquid infiltration. Just those two little r's. Nonetheless S5_PWRGD and G2_EN are both pulsing all over the place.

820-3476 Presented with no liquid damage, however r5193 an r5699 were blown, and pad on r5193 pp3v42 was gone. Ran a jumper to it. still no fan spin. Started through the rails. pp5v_s5 seems to be pulsing betwixt 5 and 3 volts... not normal is it?

Have another 00165 WITH THE SAME ISSUE! when you say termination resistors, do you mean around U6100? Like R6116. In an effort to become not so dumb, how would one know its a "termination" resister or a "pull up" resistor? Side note, this one does actually run for 30 seconds before it shuts...

10 seconds was probably an over estimation, more like 3-4 sec. I couldn't classify that as 1/4 fan spin though for obvious reasons. 3.3V on 3v3_s5 3.42 on PPCRTC... where would I check for power cycling? It has a green light and switches to orange if thats what you mean.

Have a 00165 with 10 seconds of fan spin, then nothing... History liquid damage, burnt components @ PPDCIN area. Replaced components and ISL 6259. Have green light that turns orange. Any ideas what would cause the 10 second fan spin? its not 1/4 fan. BTW it didnt even do the 10 second spin...

seems I get these frequently. 00165 has backlight, but no display. It's grey, not white. But the logo is lighting up. Tried resetting smc. Was liquid damaged and also messed with. However I'd like to get this fixed as I now have a new screen into it.

The screen is dark, but it is getting backlights boost. It's a known good screen and connector. The Apple on the top of the screen (backside ) lights up too. Just no display.

All power rails work, backlights seems to work but doesn't display.

have a 3209 with .7v on ppvcore_s0_cpu. Does this sound right? Schematic suggests 1.25v but I wasn't sure that if/when the machine was running that it would drop. Ideas? History is unknown.
