Swapped cases and touchbar works, sleep issue gone. Camera not working but I cant confirm if this was preexisting.
Assuming original case has a faulty touchbar causing all these issues?
Externally it will wake eventually with the press of the power button. But freezes after entering the PW and later coming to life.
I tried this again in the local OS and it came back on for 1 second after pressing the power button and waiting 30 seconds. It then restarted on its own.

I didn't inject 12v, but I slowly injected to PP12v_ACDC as I do not have any power supply for this. Never made it over 2v. Received the board only.
Board had no first LED.
So that worked. I was able to load the OS but now I have no touchbar. Yes keyboard backlight.
It does the 2 min install when restarting but TB doesnt come to life.
No LEDs. I injected to the 12v line and checked with the thermal imager.
Q8450 gets warm. U6920 get hot though. No shorts to ground though.
I'm realizing I don't have any parts for this board though as it's 12v. Can anything from macbook be substituted for these?
If not, any way to confirm...
I've had a few of these lately and always fixed with u4200 clean/reflow/reball. This one had corroded dust near u4200 but cleaning and replacing twice had no change. Clean board otherwise. No ultrasonic yet.
Any other suggestions for this?
No touchbar or keyboard backlight like usual. Boots...
With charger no battery - works.
With battery no charger - fans spin but no caps light or display. Responds to power button. previously it turned on with just battery but I plugged the charger in and it shut off. Hasn’t worked off battery since.
Dead battery no charger - dead battery symbol...
It does not.
I just noticed that it doesn’t need the charger to start initially after battery disconnect. Connecting the battery and pressing the power button is all it takes. This is abnormal.
this may prevent me from being able to do smc bypass.
C7020/23 are 3.4ohm and 2.9 ohm which matches another board.
CHGR_AMON starts at .1v and goes up to .840v at 4.14a.
R7020/21/22, R7060/61/62 and their traces are all good.
forgot to add - If I connect the batt cable, connect the charger then hold power button it will shut off. I let it charge some then disconnected the charger and powered on with battery only (batt cable connected). It powers on like this but once the charger is connected it shuts off.
Going to...
CHGR_AMON - .2v
CHGR_BMON - 0v in all scenarios.
SMC_DCIN - .2v
BMON_ISENSE - 0.1v in all scenarios.
My only other board has no display (possibly a dead gpu) but the values match.
Clean, no corrosion anywhere. Only works if battery cable (j6951) is disconnected. When connected it draws up to 4a and no life but fans do spin. Caps light doesnt work this way. Disconnect the cable and it works fine with or without screw.
Diode to ground pins on j6951 match another board...
Had corrosion on resistors near bios. Replaced all.
MacBook works fine but after sleeping overnight it won’t turn on. Replaced SMC, no change. I was removing jtag it turned on then didn’t when cooled. This led me to discovering if I heat the BIOS chip it turns on. Replaced and all is good until...
Im actually getting 0v on PP5V_S4SW. Looked around and noticed r3501/06 were bad. Replaced these and u3500/q3501 but still nothing on PP5V_S4SW.
Doesnt see shorted - .293v to ground.
Could this be u3100/3200?
