You have to use at least a 60W charger. You can use 45W but only when battery is connected.

[SOLVED] 820-3115 Chimes, backlight on but screen remains black/dark grey

Yes the LVDS connector at least looks fine. I have now replaced L9004, L9008 and L9080 with no luck. I have tried three different displays with three different cables. Maybe I should try to replace the LVDS connector next just in case?

[SOLVED] 820-3115 Chimes, backlight on but screen remains black/dark grey

Okei, I'm getting really confused here. A minute ago I could swear I got 3.3 on pin one of U9000. I probably did something wrong. It seems pin one of U9000 is my main issue at the moment, I get 0V here

I also get 0V on pin 1-3 on U9000 so I guess the problem lays earlier in the circuit.

[SOLVED] 820-3115 Chimes, backlight on but screen remains black/dark grey

Just got this one today. Turns on, chimes but I get no video. I can see the backlight turning on but the screen remains dark. Any idea on what is going on with this one? There is no sign of water damage.

Had the same issue a couple of days ago, tried a new cable still nothing. What finally woke the drive "recognition" was SMC reset.
