    [SOLVED]820-2530 no wifi

Have this board which shows no sign of water damage. Wifi was working fine yesterday. OS X reports no Wifi hardware installed. What I have done: - Tried different Wifi card - Tried different Wifi/Camera cable - Measured L3401 which seems fine 0.9 Ohms on each side (0,4V when turned on) -...

820-2879 T1ND On die temperature sensor high

Put some flux under the MCP and reflowed now. Seems I managed to destroy one of the memory slots :). It now passes ASD and boots in to OS X at normal speed, but the fan runs at high speed all the time.

820-2879 T1ND On die temperature sensor high

I get the same at pin 1 on U5515, are they connected somewhere or do they both come straight from the MCP?

820-2879 T1ND On die temperature sensor high

What do you think about the idea of just removing R5535 and inject 3.3v directly to U5535?

820-2879 T1ND On die temperature sensor high

Not a short entirely, but I measure only 86 Ohms. A working board measures 2500 Ohms

820-2879 T1ND On die temperature sensor high

Hmm, I think I found the problem now. There is a short to ground on pin 1 of U5535, even after replacement

820-2879 T1ND On die temperature sensor high

Thank you Duke. Area around U5535 seems fine but does not measure right. I think I'll replace both U5535 and the surrounding capacitors. The resistors seems fine.

820-2879 T1ND On die temperature sensor high

Some sign of water damage but not around the MCP or the SMC. ASD fails with MCP T1ND On Die sensor to high and the FAN spins high. Anything to do with this one or just throw it away?

Sorry for the late reply. I have now done some ASD testing. The board shows no sign of water damage and the ASD runs fine with no errors.

[SOLVED]820-2915 Only start once after SMC reset and then shuts down at login screen

Got this one today. Won't turn on unless I do an SMC reset. Then starts and shuts down two seconds after login screen. I then need to reset the SMC again to get it starting again. I have already replaced the Poly-Tant capacitor. Any idea on where to start on this one?

    A1502 820-3476 No S4 - I'm lost

Yes, to have one that works on everything, you should get an 85W MagSafe 1 and a MagSafe 2 converter for the newer boards
