Crap, only worked for å few minutes, now it is back again :(

A small breakthrough, i saw one corroded pin at the diagnostics port, so I removed it. Sorry I did't notice sooner. Now it has orange/green light an no high fan spin :)

Thank you, There is no corrosion on the IO board connectors, and I have already tried a new IO board and cable.

Replaced the SMC and the board seems completely fine now, you can mark this as solved

Got this MacBook Air 2014 today. It is slightly water damaged, I can see some corrosion around U5450 (replaced this) and at the trackpad cable (cleaned this one). It turns on when connecting the charger, the fan spins high all the time. It only has green light some of the time, it does not see...

All missing pads starts with NC_ does that mean "Not Connected"

I removed one from another board first :), no missing pads there. I may have killed it, but what did I do to kill it? I'll check the pads

You are right, this one sucks. I guess I'll just let it stand, and wait until I get a good deal on a logic board.

Removed the SMC now, and there are several pads missing, I guess this is a "no fix" board :(

Thank you, I have already tried with other batteries and without the battery indicator. I have never replaced SMC and do not have equipment for it. I do however have some boards with SMCs on them. I guess I will need to re flash the BIOS as well if I just replace the SMC? Do I need to re-ball...

This board came in completely dead, no green light or anything. Made a visual inspection of the board, and oddly enough there where no sign og water damage at all. The U7000 had a small crater on it so it got replaced. After replacing the U7000 I got green light and the fan started. Mounted the...

No it only worked sometimes, like I said in the first post. I would mostly start up run for a while and then seem dead for a couple of hours or until the next day and then start again. I was fairly gentle when warming the GPU, so I don't think i killed it (or killed it more than it already was)...

Had some time to look at this again, roasted the graphics card a bit, but the iMac seems completely dead won't start at all. I don't have schematics for this, do you know what else than the motherboard or PSU that can keep this computer from starting?

Nothing, when a fully charged battery connected I get 11.96V on PPBUS_G3H but it won't start. Battery indicator shows nothing.

It was Wine damaged, but there was only slight corrosion around the audio chip as far as I could tell
