You are right, after trying several times the card suddenly popped up, so probably just a dirty slot. I bought this one to repair and sell, and if there are any defects its going to affect the value considerably. Thank you.

Does it power on when connecting the charger? Do you have green light? Power rails?

CPU getting power?

There may be other places where the voltage on the rail can be pulled down, but you need to start somewhere

It may also be something wrong after R4830, if you remove it and you get 3.3V you know where to look. C4800 or trackpad connector next.

Just an update here, cleaned the board and the trackpad cable and after that the fan started acting normal and keyboard functions as it should. Battery wouldn't charge before I did an SMC reset. Everything is fine now.

My guess is something wrong with U8000 or R8000

Duke: Are you sure, don't you mean R8000 and not R8050? R8050 is the PP3V3_S4SW_SNS R8000 is the PP3V3_S4 Rail

I'm tossing it in the ultrasonic now to see if it helps

It's very unstable, one minute it works fine and the next the fan blows like crazy and SMC_ONOFF turns low again :(
