An update, the missing CPU VCORE seems to be my fault, poor U6100 soldering, have now got 1V on pin 20 and 22 on U7200 and I have got CPU VCORE.
Fan still spins constantly and no light on USB mouse.
First off, completely dead board (another thread).
Got the board starting but fan spins constantly with no light on USB mouse.
No CPU VCORE and PP1V05_S0 at 0.2V.
Found a short on U7400 and replaced it. Now i have PP1V05_S0 But still no CPU VCORE
Found that All_Sys_PWRGD was missing so I...
Yes L7310 was also pulsing, but when inspecting U6100 I could see that the SPI_C50_L trace looked bad. The connection on this line was broken right at the measuring point.
Just barely managed to jump wire to the tiny residue of the measuring point. Fan started spinning after the line was fixed...
Dead board, supposedly water damaged but the board looks totally clean, almost like new.
Got all main power rails, but PP3V3_S0 is jumping between 0.06 - 1,25.
It's like the board is trying to turn om but then decides not to...
Managed to rip off a couple of the pads on the MUX while wicking, I don't have a donor card for this, is there another card that has the same MUX, or can I buy a new one somewhere?
I have an 820-2530 that came in today totally dead but green light on the charger. The logic board showed no signs of water damage at all.
PPBUS_G3H was 1,5V and Pin 1 on U7000 was only 6.5V. Removed U7000 and the voltage raised to 16.5V on pin 1. With a new U7000 I got 12.5V on PPBUS_G3H and it...
I have this 820-4924 with Trackpad/Keyboard not functioning properly. They are both working some of the time and suddenly freeze up. There are always clicking on the trackpad but both trackpad and keyboard works sporadically. I haven' got schematics or boardview for this and I don't even know...
I now have more MacBook Air working Logic boards than I have cases to put them in. I was thinking it would be cool to make some sort of "Mac mini"/media center out of them but I don´t want to put a trackpad on there just to relax the fan. Is there a way to trick the thermal sensor circuit?
Just an update here. It seems the circuit for controlling the fan has a defect of some sort. I have downloaded SMC fan control and whatever I do the fan runs full speed, I can't control it at all.
I'm really struggling finding schematics and boardview files for this motherboard as well. Do...
Hmm, strange. Now the fan doesn't spin at all. Did the pin-out exactly as the other Mac Mini. In ASD all temperature readings are okey, so the old iMac sensor probably works as it should.
