Oddly I was double checking the voltages and the first time PPBUS_G3H=12.56v A few minutes ago and now I double checked it and it goes to 11.59 and slowly drains.
Ok I will R/C7224 and all the traces.
History fault
MagSafe has dim green light.
PPBUS_G3H=12.56v
PP5V_S5 =5v
PP3V3_S3=3.3v
PP5_S3=0v
PP3v3_S3=0v
No fan spin. No shorts found on any of the above lines.
At u7201
Ppbus_g3h=12.56v
Pp5v_s5 =5v
Pp3v3_s5 =3.3v
pp3v3s5_entrip1=800mv
Pp5vs3_entrip2=800mv
5vp3v3_reg_en=3.3v
Pp5vs3_vbst_r=5v
Pp5vs3_LL=0v
I’m seeing that both entrip signals are low so both s5 and s3 should be up. If I’m reading the schematic correctly. I have no short on s3 line...
No it doesn’t it seems to run fine but I was wondering how would I test for a kernel panic ? I looked it up on the internet and it say no video or video issues and freezing. are there any other symptoms? By the way thanks a lot for your help
Ok it worked. How can I test for the kernel panic issue this board suffer From?
Like what does it do ? I have another one of these from the same company. But it’s missing pm_slp_s4_L. I will start a new. Thread for that one
I have a programmer. do you think a clean bios would fix this :/ I’m assuming I would just replace the password with the code inside a clean bios would I be correct in thinking I could use the blank code it basically a “place holder” to flash efi lock ? I’m sorry I never encountered this problem...
I will have to make a new usb tonight.
Let me ask you. I have a OS X Lion disk handy Will that work In the meanwhile? I understand that the dvd/hdd might work together but maybe the dvd drive can help me diagnose? Both the dvd drive and hdd drive spin up.
Hi I received a board with a missing display connector. I replaced it with a new one. Yesterday it booting fine. But today it’s not boot in to any hdd or OS X. :( I’ve swapped it twice with two hdd and two SATA flex cables know good. Checked the fl4510 and caps c4511,c4510
I have 5v at SATA...
Mac OS doesn’t recognize internal speakers. When I connect headphones it says headphoneS in setting/sound (input/output area) let me ask you the link between aud_spdif_out and the component by u6201 is broken will this in anyway affect it from not switching to internal speakers ?
Ok so when I checked smc_on_off_L pm_pwrbtn_L does pulse. Since someone removed j6700 I figured I’d check u6201 and it was shorting the 5v rail I changed it and now I’m booting fine. Fans spin It chimes But has no audio In OS X. the same issues as before but in reverse as Homer Simpson would say...
Ok I will trigger smc_on_off and check pm_pwrbtn_L. I had I to a S0 state with 1/4 spin and now it’s back in short :/ It has no gpu so that’s not a problem.
I’m sorry my apologies pp3v3_sus=3.3v
I’m thinking it’s the u2800 or y2805 but I’d like your input first
U2800
PIn 14 pp3v3_t29= 2.49v
Pin 11 pp1v8_so =1.8V
Pin 6 pp3v3_enet=3.3v
Pp3v3 seems a little on the low side and I checked them multiple times.
Ok I went over all the voltages and they all where present. What I did find was pm_mem_Pwrgd is 1.4v on q3220, r1120 pin2 its also 1.4v I was thinking it was low but being that it’s also going to the u1800 maybe It isn’t. Pm_mem_pwrgd_L is .560mv So by the voltage divider it should be .800mv...
I replaced u6620 and got chime I really took my time protecting all the plastic and only burned just the upper corner of the sub connector :) I’m so glad that’s over
Thank you informatico for all your help
ok I found something only there 4 caps I found 28ohm short. In diode I get .028v two are tantalum c6622 and c6632. The other two are ceramic. I was thinking that maybe that tantalum as they have a higher failed rate but at 5v I’m not sure which direction to go. At first I thought it was the chip...
