No they aren’t soldered. I testing chips on the board I remove the 5v,3.3v driver and I still have .14v So I’m gonna see if the audio driver is pulling the line down. I have a feeling it’s one of these chips. Do you think I’m on the right track?
Well since I have L6995, isl6295,U5010 still of the board I get nothing on pin 1 of L6995
At ppvin_g3h_p3v42g3h =16.54v and 16.54 at
(r6995 which is also ppvin_g3h_p3v42g3h.
3.7v at Pin2 p3v42g3h_ton)
c6991 pin 1 3.72 p3v42g3h_fb = 3.7v
I removed L6995 and on Diode mode pin 1 .595v on pin 2 .14v I removed u4650 cleaned and tested still have .14v on pin 2 at L6995 inspected j6955 it’s in pristine condition :(
The gmux was getting really hot. I removed the u7000 first. then I removed U5010 but I Have not removed the smc.
J6955 has no visible damage. But I will further inspect it. I will lift on leg of L6995 and see on which pin it remains on.
thank you for your help
Ok I’m gonna ask this I’m just lightly heating the cpu/pch at 180 degrees at a moderate air speed and don’t remove underfill and remove whatever crap is accumulated under it. Did I understand you correctly ?
Hi, I have a board that has a short on pp3v42_g3h line it’s .14v in diode mode
This is what I have done so far I remove the isl, replaced both usb controllers that were shorting 5v line. I still have a short on 3.42
I have .14v in between r5070 Pin1 and Pin 2 r5000 Where would be a good starting...
:/ ok I’ll buy a new External display port from Best Buy. I’m sorry but may I ask I’m not in front of a board view At this moment but is u9600? the isl68?? for gpuvcore that’s next to gpu memory? Because I already changed that.
disabled the gpu and it’s the same I checked in system and and it’s using intel internal. Weird thing is it went away last night and came back This morning :(
Ok traces look good and tested traces diode mode with working board. The match diode mode. I’m stuck on this one :(

Yes it turn on by itself with out battery I have a original charger that is my test charger verified in system profiler. It’s weird because a PRAM solves it but when I remove the battery for a few days it resumes the same symptoms
Hi I have a board that I change ISL On and I hit the power button it turns on then off I hit it again and it turns on no issue but it does this every time I power it up.
Pch_intvrmen_L =3.2v
Pch_intruder_L=2.8v
I tested the sysclk_clk32k_rtc signal yesterday it’s was 32.6khz tested with oscilloscope
I’m still missing pp3v3_sus
Plt_reset_L =0v
Pm_pch_sys_pwrok =0v
What I don’t understand is if I’m missing pm_slp_s4_L
How can I have s3 State and if I don’t have s3 how can I have pm_pch_sys_pwrok or plt_reset_L can you give me a hint to where I’m going wrong I’m my thought process?
So I received a board that’s missing pm_slp_s4_L looks like someone had removed the bios. I checked the vias and
They seem good. I checked the spi bios Bi-directional Via as well. The hold signal spirom_use_mlb 0v.
