Hmmm. Okay, boo. Wish I could fix, but I know ram/cpu issues are pretty stupid on these older boards. Have a board with USB issues I can fix and throw in here I guess. Thanks!
I have a Late 2011 13" MacBook Pro.
No liquid damage seen. No obvious physical damage, alluding to dropping.
Most of the time it boots just fine, runs OS just fine. I've tried different ram and swapping ram slots.
Ran ASD and everything passes until it gets to memory test. Almost all of them...

Rails prior are there and PPBUS_G3H is 12.56V
Get to PP5V_SUS_FET (PP5V_SUS) and I measure 0.059V
I measure pins 1 and 2 on R7842 and I get 4.98 and 4.86 respectively.
I decided to check P5_3V3_SUS_EN...
You'll be proud Louis... I had to use my brain! Haha.
Replaced u7501 twice. 5v was not showing up either time (1.7v.) The chip was getting hot... I finally took diode measurements of all the pins on the board where the U7501 goes. I figured out the 3.3 lines were shorted to ground by Q7560. I...
PIN 23 - 8.57V
PIN 12 - 3.4V
So I am going with bad U7501.
It does look as though U7501 creates PP5V_S4RS3 as well... does it go to the i/o board for USB power?

Green Light/Switches to amber, no fan.
All rails present up to PP5V_S5 which measures at 1.72V
diode measurement at pp5v_s5 is 0.438
Checked around U7501 and it all "looks" fine. No obvious liquid damage to board.
PP5V_S4RS3 is next on the power rails, but doesn't...

Turns on, chimes, after about 5 secs the fan starts going full speed.
Anyone know which "sensor" that is not working or which area of the board that is referencing?
I looked in the hardware profile, under power and it says charger...
Well, I might as well have some fun fluxing and reflowing! Like you said on another board of mine, "It is no good like it is!" so I can't do much worse to it. If anything I'll have a spare board for parts LOL
Guess I'll order some spare retina batteries. But like I said I don't have any at the moment, which is why I was trying to see if it could be the board and not the battery.
Thanks for the suggestion with the battery removal...
So are you saying the liquid killed the battery? I know the retina model have exposed battery "boards" so I'm not saying it couldn't be a bad battery. I don't have spare retina batteries or spare top case assemblies with batteries. I wouldn't want to possibly destroy a good battery when removing...
2014 13" retina.
Sees battery. Says not charging. Has the lightening icon on the tool bar. Shows cycles (66) and total capacity of battery. Says 0 capacity left. "Battery Not Charging" and says "Replace Battery Now"
is this a battery issue? Or could this possibly be a board repair? I've never...
