got in a 00164 customer said son spilled Gatorade in it. he took the liberty to try and clean every part himself.
it came in with only a green light, replaced the q7055 or so i believe ( dont have schematics for this one, holding out on buying it unless i need it bad) cant seem to find it free...
got in a 2850, customer claimed random crashing. replaced the c9560 and voltage there is good 1.5v. the problem is when i plug power in or power it on it cycle boots sometimes the normal 2 times then boots up but when loading the apple logo it often crashes sometimes it will load in and works...
sorry forgot to post back. found out after my last post my assistant took my 80W and put a 60w in the wall so it was all good. the little things that throw you off haha.
Thankss.
hey g.beard thanks for dropping in. If i have battery it powers on if i have battery and charger it powers on. if i plug battery in then power on the system unplug the battery with the charger still plugged in it will continue to run on the charger. and like i said before it will run the...
got an 820-2850 it will not power with the charger, if i plug the battery in it turns on and runs perfectly. charges the battery runs on the battery and it will even run on just the charger and no battery if you power it on with the battery and then unplug it. what would be the likely culprit...
Understood, and i wish i had checked the voltage on the c9560 when it would crash just as "food for thought".
I'm with you on that one!
This board looks like a pos and when i first worked on it the board looked great then it came back in and it looked like liquid damage and the gpu glue looks...
well if its not giving any errors there probably is a good chance there is non. did you check to see how hot the cpu and gpu are getting? maybe its getting hot and "needs" the fan at full. the other thing to consider testing is a different hard drive with osx to confirm the osx and drive are...
Okay appreciate your help. i did check with a working board and it was also 1.35v, i was thinking the same thing at first. and should have said that on the l9560 i had solid voltage, pin 1 was 1.37 and pin 2 was 1.35.
then you fucked something up changing the isl as it was working before this. double check your work and make sure you did not move anything out of where it should be, this happens a lot. back track all your work you have done since this issue has come up and make sure everything is in place...
yep same as always. and never had this issue before. and unlike normal with the c9560 issue, you can run youtube etc. for hours when it does boot into osx and it wont crash.
Have a 820-2850 fixed for a customer or so i thought by replacing the 9560. sometimes it will boot fully into osx and runs videos etc without any trouble last time i tested it for 5 hours of video playing sent it back and it was crashing on him every 10 min or less. I will get it to load into...
you can do this without the stencil. just use plenty of heat and flux and keep the balls from pulling off uneven. i have never used a stencil for smc's unless the balls are uterfucked. They reflow cleanly almost everytime.
okay i understand. right that is what i was thinking. the liquid shows bad signs around the graphics and cpu, also like wise on the back side center top area everywhere around the isl6263, i ran it through the UC because it was under the big chips.
diagnostic gave smc PFM006, firmware PFR001, Additional's NDC001, PPN001, VDH002. Also to note i did Not have a battery connected in case any codes relate to that.
