Got this sorted out, there are 2 filters, then 4 caps behind each pair of connectors that look like they are all laid out in pairs. Leading to these are tracks from an IC and measuring the 2 filters then 4 caps and comparing them to the other pair, the 4 caps were nearly shorted to ground and...

Red on ground black on each side of the cap it is 0
Black on ground red on each side of the cap it is 0

Computer is liquid damaged, after cleaning it gives green then red light, no fan spin though. Found a short on PPVCC_SO_CPU. Looking at the schematic there looks to be many caps, the processor and C1031. Is there anything else that could be on that line causing the short or is it the processor...

Thanks for the cap names, caps checked. Found no problems with them when checking them with red to ground and black on either side of them. L6995 removed injected 3.42v on pin 2, no green or red on charger, no fan spin. PSU gives current draw of between 1.5a and 2.5a. Board gently getting warm...
No liquid damage no, I have flex for the track pad and new keyboard on the way so will be able to test more in a few days. In the mean time I will be checking connectors just in case.
Have a Macbook Pro Retina been brought with a trackpad that does not work at all and keyboard that doesn't work... sort off.

I can't find the cap the is on that line. What I have done is inject 3,3v at pin 10 of u6990 and it gave a current draw of 1.66a. L6995 after a few seconds was getting warm so I am looking at replacing that just to see what happens, then work up from there to find anything that might be dragging...
