I don't know why, but today board stuck at 5V and will not switch to 20V. I swear yesterday it switched to 20V. I will take later some new measurments but for the first, it switches to 20v only if battery is connected. Without battery PPBUS_G3H is 12,61V -> too low
I have flashed a new Rom but result is same. only difference is now, that it starts directly in DFU mode not in recovery mode.
I checked following coils, unfortunately not have a good board, but for some coils the readings are in felxbv:
L8100 = 0,16V should be 0,072V
L3500_VWR = 0,18V should...
So I have this board here, no liquid damage, the macbook looks like new. I checked some voltages and found out that PP3v3_S5 is missing. There is no short on this line, resistance is 112kohm.
Some measurments:
PPBUS_G3H = 12,60V
PP3v3_G3H_RTC = 3,390V
PP3v3_G3H_PMU_VDDMAIN = 3,355V
PP3v3_S5 =...
Look like the bios chip is dead. Pls can you confirm that this is the right direction to solder on the board of the ubos2? Anyway I reballed several times and tried both directions but no reaction of the chip.
Good day friends, so I have here this MacBook which is drawing 20V 180mA only the Mainboard and 1,4A with battery. No Apple logo no boot. Here are some voltages:
PPBUS_G3H = 8,70V
PP3V3_G3H = 3,30V
PPDCIN_G3H = 19,7V
PP3V3R3V0_AON = 3,3V
PP5V_G3H = 5,1V
PP5V_S4 = 5,1V
PP5V_S0 = 5,1
PP3V3_S5 =...

Now I have took bigger cables, but still no component found with short. Went to 3,6V with 3,4amps. Some traces are getting warm and the whole area in the board but cannot find a component. I injected on the soldering Point TP1
So I have reballed the PMIC but now ssd, keyboard and touchpad not detected. I have replaced with new PMIC but same problem. I believe after reballing something gone wrong and was shorted. Looks like PP3V3_S4 is shorted to ground. Now I have to find this short first...
Hi, I have this board here and PP3V3_G3H is 0,0V and PM_EN_P3V3_G3H is also 0,0V. Charger stuck at 5V and 32mA. Sometimes when board is lying around it switches to 20v also 32mA. But if you plug in plug out and so on normally getting only 5V. ISL9239 is getting 5volts but no output on...
I have exact same readings. PP3V3_G3H is 0,0V and PM_EN_P3V3_G3H is also 0,0V. ISL9239 is getting 5volts but no output on PM_EN_P3V3_G3H. Can we say that 100% the ISL9239 is bad, or is there also an enable signal for the ISL9239? No short found on PM_EN_P3V3_G3H and PP3V3_G3H
I followed all these steps without result. Actually I desoldered the PMIC for reaballing, but I cannot find a stencil for this. What stencil do I need for this? It has 12x13 points
