A1989 (820-00850) - No image / no green light (caps lock key)

Hi, I have here an A1989 (820-00850) with a water damage on J8500 between PIN 1 , 3 and 43. Note: EDP_INT_AUX_N is shorted to ground - so I guess the onboard GPU got fried by the backlight circuit (PPVOUT_S0_LCDBKLT), right? I was able to restore the device via AC2 - no issue. But im not...

Hi, I have here an A1990 - Touchbar doesnt work. (no signs of life) Note: J5100 was corroded - cleaned it and removed the corrosion. (Flexcable was fine) J5100 power lines: - PP1V8_SLPS2RSW_DFR: 1.8V - PP5V_G3S_DFR_FILT: 5.1V J5110 power lines: - PP1V8_SLPS2RSW_DFR: 1.8V - PP3V3_G3HSW_DFR...

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

I have already removed a good known "T2-chip" (from another donor board) but now I have some struggles with reballing it. (Note: I have a stencil and I use soldering paste) Issue: When I press to hard on the stencil it moves etc. and also the heat kinda "deforms" it. (Stencil...

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

I don’t have a good board :/ Regarding to the “wiki” it says that “Error 4014” means bad T2 RAM or battery. In case the RAM is bad, can it be replaced by a good one? So is the RAM serialized with T2 CPU? (CPU and RAM are “sandwiched” right?) https://logi.wiki/index.php/DFU_Mode_Restore_(Macs)

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

Yeah tried both - How to check if the T2 or SSD is affected?

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

Tried the old one again, same behavior as before. (So I need to enter manually DFU and so on.) Edit:

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

Already tried that but sadly its entering DFU again and restore always ends with the message above. The ".BIN" should work, right? Or is there anything I missed? Before the reflashing it wasn't 24/7 in DFU. Edit: Also strange is that when the MB is assembled it stays on "4.97V/0.00-0.01A"...

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

I have successfully flashed the .BIN file to the SoC ROM. Now im getting the following message in AC2 Unexpected device state 'DFU' expected 'Recovery' (Probably forced into DFU mode externally) [com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore – 0xFAE (4014)] Note: SOC_FORCE_DFU and PP1V8_SLPS2R are not...

https://amzn.eu/d/8XLQ3mB (programmer) https://amzn.eu/d/iO1pliT (1V8 adapter) https://amzn.eu/d/hLjAQE3 (T2 chip soldering board) This should work right? which software will be used and where do I get the T2 rom file?

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

Yeah I have tried both. Sadly I don’t have a ROM Reader/Writer, any recommendations?

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

With and without battery, yes. I have removed U6950, same behavior. Edit: Just the T2 is getting „warm“. Edit2: In DFU mode SLPS2R and AWAKE voltages are stable.

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

    I2C_BATT_SDA_R = 1.8V / 0.456 I2C_BATT_SCL_R = 1.8V / 0.464 I2C_PWR_SDA = 1.8V / 0.455 I2C_PWR_SCL = 1.8V / 0.463 SMBUS_3V3_BATT_SDA = 3.3V / 0.900 SMBUS_3V3_BATT_SCL = 3.3V / 0.942 Edit: It can't complete the DFU restore / revive because the SLPS2R and AWAKE voltages are not stable.

    A1990 (820-01041-07) - PPBUS_G3H = 12.23V

    Sry my fault .... Ignore that. I2C_BATT_SCL_R = 1.8V / 0.456 I2C_PWR_SDA = 1.8V / 0.455
