Other “issue” … the right speaker is sometimes crackling at 100% volume with heavy bass, I have already tried a new speaker same behavior - any idea?
Edit: The trackpad haptic feedback is also unreliable (50/50 not working/working) I have already replaced the cable, same behavior - seems like a...
I’ve already ordered two (just in case). I’ll let you know if it fixes the issue or not.
Note: I’ve tried it with a known good ISL9240 - seems like it is not compatible (at least on the A2941).
Yeah I have added the diode value, please check again.
UT360 (Line: PP3V3_S2_HOLD_IPD) was shorted, I have replaced it - short was gone.
But now it stucks at 5V (Before it was booting fine but without keyboard/trackpad functionality)
PPDCIN_AON_GHGR_R = 5V
R5221/5222/5261/5262 = 1ohm (Note...
Hi,
I have an 820-03286 (A2941 / MacBook Air M2 15” 2023) that has no PPBUS_AON and gets stuck at 5V / 0.05A.
Note: I replaced U5200 because PPCHGR_VDDA/VDDP was only at 4.5V. After replacing it with an ISL9240 (from a MacBook Pro M1 2020), it’s now back to 5V.
Current measurements...
Sleep wake sensor was not working, I have recalibrated it with a tool - all good now.
Keyboard is now working - JT400 was faulty, I have replaced it.
Trackpad is still not working - Cable and Trackpad are good - Any idea?
Issue found:
UT350 (PIN: SPI_IPD_TOUCH_CS_CONN_L was fried) - Replaced...
Hi,
I have an iPad Pro 11” (3rd generation – model A2377) with a non-functioning Face ID. It consistently displays the message: “Move iPad higher/lower” during setup.
When inspecting the TrueDepth system with an infrared-sensitive camera, I noticed that the dot projector is not emitting any...
Same behavior with the new daughter board.
I suspect the issue is related to the sleep/wake sensor, which doesn’t seem to be working correctly.
Example: When the MacBook is closed and I plug in the power cable, it automatically boots up. The display doesn’t go to sleep when I close the lid...
I took the measurements again and updated the values above. (with keyboard and trackpad connected)
The diode value for SPI_IPD_MISO_CONN is 0.100 lower than the source data you provided.
Other than that, everything seems to be OK.
How would you like to proceed?
Hi,
I have a MacBook Air M2 with a non-working trackpad and keyboard. I tested it using a known-good trackpad and keyboard, but they didn’t work either. Based on this, I suspect a logic board failure.
Here are my measurements so far:
UT3A0 Output:
TPAD_KBD_WAKE_L = 1.8V
UT320 Output...
After replacing all four NANDs with known good ones, I was able to successfully restore the device via DFU (using Finder, not Apple Configurator 2).
Note:
The logic board was installed in the housing.
A power cable (external charger, not a USB port from another MacBook) was connected.
NAND...
Maybe Firmware related? SPI_NOR?
Edit:
I have removed UN100 and UN300, power cycling stopped - so maybe bad soldering job (blame on me) or one of the NANDs is faulty as well ….
I have checked those pages and compared them to the donor board (from which I pulled the NANDs). Both boards now look identical, except for the missing NANDs on the donor board. What am I missing? What else should I check?
What about the power cycle topic? It's still occurring.
Furthermore I...
The NAND pages show some configuration resistors at the bottom. Where do you see them? Are you referring to the ‘Board Rev’ table? (Page 152)
Furthermore, I have checked page 108—RP003, RP004, RP005, RP010, RP011, RP012, and RP013 are also present on the donor board, even though they are only...
It seems like the board was ultrasonically cleaned due to water damage.
Yes, the battery is good, and I have also tested it without the battery.
I noticed that this MacBook had five NAND chips (UN000, UN100, UN200, UN300, and UN500), which seems unusual for a 512GB model, doesn’t it?
(Edit: In...
