i removed the ic , the mosfet and the coil. the low resistance is on the rail itself. IT was 30 ohms resistance then i inject 1.7v and then it went to 42 ohms. it only draws 0.2amps and that is what it does on a perfectly working board
i have a playstation 5 with faulty gddr6 memory.. the resistance on the power rail is very low but when i inject 1.5 volts it doesn't draw more amperage than a good working board. is there a way to single out the faulty chip without removing all of them? it has 8 of them. Could I damage it if i...
i was waiting on a trackpad ribbon that i ordered for it. According to https://logi.wiki/index.php/DFU_Mode_Restore_(Macs), the trackpad has to be connected so i'm pretty sure this is the problem
i'm not sure what parts was affected by liquid. it was thoroughly cleaned soon after i received it. it stays in this recovery mode and a restore will make it power up but with the error. i'm using a usb type A port on a 2014 mac mini. Maybe that could that be an issue
this board had a short on ppbus and c6405 was removed to fix that. now i get 20v 0.000a 3v3_g3h is 3v. pp1v8_slps2r is 0v and doens't have a short. is this a issue with the coils surrounding u7800? If so i'll need to remove that cover that surrounds u3900/u7800
all the nand and g3s voltages are there but it still goes to 20v and 0.000a without battery and with battery it tries to charge and then resets. It looks like some of the solder balls under the t2 are combined from the spill
i'm using a 87w apple charger and the battery is charging so it must be good. i'm checking the coils around the pmic. pp1v_prim is 0v and ppvpcore_s5 is 0v. should they show up now or later?
it goes into dfu mode with the keyboard method. It gives the "waiting" error message. why would those two coils be broken like that? that area was closed in with a medal shield that i had to remove
I lifted the two coils and they were visibly broken. the metal was still left on the padding. i've replaced them and now it's 20v on the amp meter and the ampage keeps cycling from 1.03a and back down to 0. ppbus keeps cycling from 12.68 to 10v but that's because the battery is charging...
