Like last week I fixed one A1990, which has all CD3217 faulty. I replace then randomly with china ic and from a donor board. I had to replace the TBT ROM ic as it was dead. Also both TBT controller and it worked.
Weird that all CD3217 came from different places.
I read before that if replace at least the master with another master, then we can replace the second IC with any other new or from any other position from a donor. But I never tried.
I just fixed. Before I used some old CD3216 that I bought from China.
I replaced from a donor board and it works fine.
Thanks.
That still confuse me when replacing these controllers. I tough just the M1 needs to come from same board.
Is there any way we can buy these controllers new instead of...
Hi. I need help, please.
I got this MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2019 - A2159 in to replace the Screen. I replaced it and everything was fine.
The customer asked to check his charger as it sometimes stop working (Original charger).
First I have cheeked with my original charger and it works fine on both...
I rebuilt the tracks again on the UF400 and soldered it back, but the behaviour is the same.
I have replaced both controllers, UF100 and UF00,0, just in case.
Now it recognises in DFU, but fails with the error message. Trackpad is clicking.
Give up waiting for the device to transition from DFU...
Hi.
I am still trying to get this LB fixed.
I bought another working LB with iCloud locked and replaced both CD32, U5700, U5200 (ISL9240 I) and the U8100 (TMLT46B0-JPE).
The behaviour still same.
PPDCIN_USBC_AON (5.15v)
PPVBUS_USBC0 / PPVBUS_USBC1 (5.15v)
PP3V3_S2SW_USB0 / PP3V3_S2SW_USB1...
I need help on these please.
I got this Mac with no power, dead.
There was a bad corrosion on the one of the CD3217 (UF400)
All the pins from USBC0_CC2, USBC0_CC1 and UPC0_R_OSC was welded and a whole on the board.
I have rebuild the tracks and soldered a CD3217 from a M1 air.
I replaced U5200...
I have checked another LB and BKLT_SD is 5.58V, which is pulling the voltage on the gate of QP800 low and backlight turns on.
On my faulty LB the voltage on BKLT_SD I s 11.58V.
I have done revive and restore and still no backlight. I have check everything again and compared against a good working board the the measurements in diode mode are correct. The only issue I found is:
LCDBKLT_EN_L (QP800 gate) 11.93V Too high, not turning on QP800 - On a working board it...
No liquid damage or visible physical damage. Customer initially stated it suddenly no display.
All the diode measurements on the Backlight power circuity matches a good board.
Replaced UP800 (backlight boost IC) twice, also reflowed
Replaced DP800
Replaced QP800 (backlight power switch MOSFET)...
