When I was testing the coils I had already removed the LB from the case so the battery has not been connected. I did have the charger plugged in when testing the coils but something definitely happened because amps are now only running at 0.02 to 0.04a.
Ok L7210/20 jump anywhere from 0.15 - 0.51 only if amps are sitting between 0.11a - 0.25a. When I first plug in the motherboard amps jump up to 0.83a and the volts range on those 2 coils from 0.46 - 1v. L7900 measured at 1.2v. L8020 measured 0volts and now my amp meter only reads 0.02-0.04a any...
Ok here's the info:
L7410 - goes up to 0.16v but then goes back to 0
L7420 - 0v
L7430- 0v
L7210 - 0.46v
L7220 - 0.48v
L7700 - 1v
L7900 - 1v
L8000 - 1v
L8050 - 1v
L9400 - 2.7v
L3500 - -0.03v to 0.03v
L8410 - 0v
When amps drop I test all the coils and voltage is unchanged so the F7000 stays at...
Ok first man thanks for your patience I have tested F7000 I am getting 13V and I also tested L7600 I am getting 5v and L7660 is getting 3V.
I also followed through the chain followed PPVBAT_G3H_CHAGR_REG path and found C7050 and C7051 and 13v was present at both of these locations. Any other...
Ok man I've had to watch a few videos before I attempted this but I hope it makes sense so I tested a whole bunch of coils with the majority coming out with 0 v. There is a coil L7030 that is the biggest on I could find on this board and I am getting a reading of 13v's on both pin 1 and 2. At...
Ok model of board is 820-00923-A I'm looking around to see if I can find a schematic for this. Once removed from case I still get 20V and about .37 amps when plugged in.
At this point its more of a figure out project. I'll take it apart and see what I can find what should the amperage be roughly? I bought the usb-c amp reader and get 20v's but amperage is kind of all over. I'll take it apart and see if anything stands out.
No unit does not power on at all, the fans to not start up so nothing on keyboard is lighting up. I thought maybe the screen was the issue so I reinstalled the old screen and the computer still does not power on.
Sorry I am a complete noob to troubleshooting these macbook computers. Because it involves more work on the mother board I don't have any experience besides what I watch on youtube.
Yes battery was disconnected when I installed the screen. I removed that pancake screw and unplugged the battery only thing I didn't do was disable autoboot which everyone says you have to do. I haven't removed the board yet but should be the #820-00239 051-00515 (A1706 EMC 3163).
Not sure if I can get some direction on this I replaced a screen on my laptop without disabling the autoboot now my laptop won’t power on. I have read in some forums some people having the same issue but they could power on without having the battery connected my laptop will not power on with...
