I've reflowed everything on that side, still no joy. I'm awaiting new CD3217 but I feel I'm wasting my time on this board now.
Would it be worth replacing ALL the CD3217s? I only originally replaced the two on the side where one was faulty/getting hot.
OK, I attempted DFU restore with original apple charger and Thunderbolt 3 cable, all I get every attempt is:
'Gave up waiting for device to transition from DFU to DFU state [com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore - 0FCA (4042)] . Target Macbook is at 20V 0.066A most of the time.
