I'm back working on this board after the Christmas break. I got the U7000 problem sorted out and back at 20v. Everything seemed ok after I removed a couple of the components and put them back in order to check some of the values you asked me to check.
The problem I now have with the board is...
Looks like I need to lift the U7000 to get a reading on SMC_RST_IN - is that correct?
CHGR_VDDP 5.12
AUX_OK seems to be an NC pin under U7000, is that correct?
PPDCIN_G3H_CHGR_AMON 0v
PPDCIN_G3H_CHGR_BMON 0.026v
C7020 4.6 ohms between pins 1 and 2 (is this...
This board has been to another shop, apparently they just cleaned it but didn't do any board repair.
5.23v on the amp meter and 0.000a.
Values in parentheses (diode mode)
PPBUS_G3H 1.2v and for about 10 secs drops down to 0.9v before looping back to 1.2v rinse repeat (0.460)
PPDCIN_G3H 5.12v...
The point is, I paid somebody to replace the GPU and when the board came back it was doing exactly the same as it was when I sent it to them. So my question is: Is there something more than the GPU that could be causing the problem, i.e., the GPU RAM? But regardless of everything, is it not fair...
The symptoms I'm having seem to resemble the ones in this post: https://www.rossmanngroup.com/boards...pu-replacement
The glue was not removed from the memory chips on the other side of the board when the GPU was removed.
What is needed for reflowing the memory chips temperature-wise? Will I...
I need a replacement iPhone SE PMIC but can't find one anywhere. Is the one for the 6S/6S+ that you sell compatible with SE do you know? 6S part number is 338s00155-a1, SE part number is 338s00170-a1. Many thanks.
It's true, it's very frustrating. Having experienced these frustrations I make damn sure to pay anyone who does work for me immediately and I love working for people who do the same for me.
I repaired someone's MacBook Pro for them and it was ready for collection in April. They have been fobbing me off for 8 months now without payment or collection!
Does anyone in the UK know what the law is with regards to claiming ownership of repaired but uncollected items? Also, in general...
When you say CPU Vcore, are you referring to PPVCORE_S0_CPU? It goes up to about 0.2v on C1600 when the fan spins if that's what you mean. I'm using a Fluke 15B+ to measure that.
This board has been in with me before. I've replaced a few bits on the charging circuitry including the U1700. Also had a lot of corrosion from water damage on the underside of the board and I had to make a couple of jumpers on PP3V42_G3H at C4903, C4908 and C4902.
It has been running fine for...
Thanks Duke. There was indeed a short, in fact 2 shorts, at PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_REG on L7030 and PPDCIN_G3H_CHGR on Q7030.
After replacing both I now get just a green light but no orange and no start up. PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_REG is still shorted even though I replaced L7030 with one that wasn't shorted...
